Monika Grzymala - Drawing Spatially. Vortex.
Monika Grzymala’s „spatial drawing“ unfolds in three dimensions, as an installation made of four kilometers of black tape. It is direct, concise and coherent like an aphorism. Minimal maxims are phrased with a sense for absurdity – an intuitive kind of thinking where everything is possible. It seems to be the intention to extract a parallel logic from reality, in order to establish hypotheses in a desperate quest to find answers to the great existential questions. This accumulative work attains unity by excess, creating an unlimited universe of connotations.
With the exhibition "Drawing Now" an extensive overview of drawing as a medium, with 36 artists of the younger generation is on display in the Albertina until October 11th 2015.
