At the Albertina museum in Vienna the main spring-exhibition is dedicated to Edvard Munch and his impact on contemporary artists like Georg Baselitz, Andy Warhol, Miriam Cahn, Peter Doig, Marlene Dumas, Tracey Emin and Jasper Johns. In the years between 1906 and 1936 an art-loving Swiss couple, ophthalmologist Arthur Hahnloser and his wife Hedy, gathered one of the largest private art collections of 20th century art and French modernism with works of Van Gogh, Cézanne, Matisse, Hodler, Bonnard, Vuillard and many others.
